Before you book a transfer
- Pick a bus or ferry that leaves at least 1.5 to 2 hours after your flight lands, to allow for bags and immigration.
- Check the pickup point on your ticket. Some trips start at the airport, others at a bus station or pier in town.
- Ferries to the islands stop running in the late afternoon. If you land late, plan a night near the pier and take the first boat.
Airport transfers: common questions
Can I book a bus from the airport before I fly?
Yes. Choose your airport, pick your destination and date, and book a seat online. Pick a trip that leaves at least 1.5 to 2 hours after your flight lands.
Which Bangkok airport is better for Pattaya and Koh Chang?
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is on the east side of Bangkok and has buses that start at the airport. From Don Mueang (DMK) you usually go through a Bangkok bus terminal first.
What if my flight is late?
Bus and ferry tickets are for a fixed time, so a late flight can mean a missed trip. Change and refund rules depend on the operator; contact Baolau through your confirmation email as soon as you can.
